Salary: Euro 3400 – Euro 4500 per month excluding holiday allowance, based on background and experience.

ABOUT GLOBAL DESIGN CENTER (GDC) NUTRITION
The Global Design Centre (GDC) Innovation team leads the Global R&D for Food products and is key business partner with Global Brand teams to drive and land Global Innovation Big Bets with impact and scale. The GDC Innovation team drives innovation of new product solutions in horizon 1 & 2 spaces to meet unmet consumer needs. We create proprietary technologies, science-based solutions, core formulation designs and digitally embedded tools to deliver superior benefits and value to our consumers through our products. We also lead the transformation of our biggest product portfolios towards more healthy, sustainable, and flavourful offerings at affordable costs. Driving easier shifts to more plant based and diverse diets for our consumers is central to our purpose. The Innovation team leads the streams on delivering material, recipe, and portfolio efficiencies. They partner with local markets to drive superior execution of our products via strong selling stories and product experience toolkits.

WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE
We are recruiting an Innovation Technologist for the Condiments Global Design Center (GDC), located at HIVE, Wageningen, The Netherlands.
JOB SUMMARY
Reporting to the Head of Innovation Flavoured Mayo, this role would comprise, for example:
Support Global Innovation projects carrying out standard and specific lab measurements and SOPs.
Building and executing experimental plans
Conducting analytical measurements
Data analysis, assessments, and technical reporting
Support Pilot plant trials (trial preparation and execution).
Be the liaison and key contact person for external measurements (inc. sample handling and output reporting)
Perform product and ingredient physical-chemical analyses according to project needs.
Implement and optimize standard methods (e.g SOPs) in the lab. Helping to improve existing testing methods/techniques.
Training of new team members for standard analytical measurements and methods.
Operational Responsibilities:
Arranging shipment of samples to internal and third parties.
Responsible for the maintenance of equipment and adhering to working procedures.
Ability to train others in working with related equipment.
Ownership of upkeep of lab and product storage rooms.
Support organizing tasting sessions and product evaluations.
THE QUALITIES WE LOOK FOR?
Experiences & Qualifications
Education: Professional education, Bachelor/HBO preferably in Food Technology, Food Science, Product Design, Food Engineering, Processing, Chemistry or related areas.
Strong interest in chemical analytical techniques and measurements and eye for detail and accuracy
Interpreting (own) test/trial results and drawing conclusions.
Making recommendations for (own) follow-up test/trial.
Presenting and explaining results to the team/requestor
Working knowledge on MS Office – Excel, PowerPoint for data analysis, visualization, and presentation.
Working experience with key digital tools and softwares – Minerva, LV8, ELN-SDC.
Fluency in written and spoken English is a must.

Able to Identify unusual aspects/results during the execution of the experiment and implementing changes.
Ownership of developing and sharing technology developments (e.g., via toolboxes) with relevant stakeholder, including with BUs.

Have the right aptitude and mindset required for working in a multi-functional, multi-cultural environment.
