Detailed Job Description:

As part of our Delivery Team, the Mainframe Developers will be responsible for effective design, development, validation, and support activities, and ensuring that our client's requirements and objectives are fully satisfied.

Gather the requirements and specifications to understand the client requirements in a detailed manner and translate the same into system requirements. Play a key role in the overall estimation of work requirements to provide the right information on project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers. Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate. Work in a diverse, multiple stakeholder team environment. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience as a Mainframe Developer.  In-depth understanding of mainframe technologies, e.g., COBOL, JCL, VSAM, or CICS, as wells as DB2 or SQL databases. Hands-on experience using TSO / ISPF, XPEDITOR, QMF, FILEAID, SORT utilities, or StarTool utilities. Hands-on experience with version control tools such as ChangeMan or Endeavor. Expertise in batch processing and providing inputs for batch scheduling. Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies. Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive, relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education. Candidate's that have completed a Master’s degree program strongly preferred. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Java or other frontend technologies. Prior exposure to Mainframe modernization projects. Healthcare domain experience. Exposure to Agile methodology. Knowledge of JIRA and Service Now.  Ability to create tools using REXX or CLIST. Master’s Degree, or foreign equivalent, from an accredited institution
