Overview
Environment & Release Manager Responsibilities
Environment Responsibilities
- Obtain Data Courier Administrator certification
o Administer data courier for all UHS environments
Build and maintain DC interfaces
Maintain DC environment security and lock/unlock items as needed
o Primary point of contact for Epic related to environment downtimes / maintenance
o Liaison between Epic and UHS Epic team for maintenance. Keep the greater UHS Epic team informed of impending environment maintenance / downtime
o Attend all Epic maintenance calls (many after hours) for PRD pauses and downtimes
o Provide light DC training to UHS users as needed
- Update, maintain, monitor, and ensure that the UHS Epic Change Control process is followed
o Run ECAB meetings twice per week
o Keep SharePoint ECAB form(s) updated
Business Continuity Access Responsibilities- could train on this
- Owns UHS Epic BCA tools
o Run quarterly Epic BCA downtime drills
o Compile and submit annual Epic BCA Audit details
o Run monthly UHS DC internal audits
o Facilitate BCA PC changes or additions via Ivanti tickets and coordinating with Epic analysts
o Monitor BCA PC’s via System Pulse to proactively identify various problems that need to be addressed
o Train operational staff on BCA tools and/or concepts as requested
Security Responsibilities
- When free from Environment / BCA responsibilities, assist the UHS Epic Security team
o Obtain Epic Security certification
o Monitor and work the UHS Epic Security Ivanti queues
o Participate in the UHS Epic Security on-call rotation
Third Party Responsibilities
- Be the “boots on the ground” to assist with Technology Team supported 3rd party clinical devices as needed (can be off hours)
The ideal candidate will live locally to UHS properties to be able to solve onsite trouble shooting issues.
Education/Experience
Minimum Required:
+ Two to three (2-3) years of healthcare operations (clinical, patient care, administrative or revenue cycle), information technology or health information technology experience
+ OR
+ Demonstrated competency in Applications Analyst I role
Preferred:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (information technology or clinical/healthcare fields)
License/Certification
Minimum Required:
+ For Epic roles: Current Epic certification(s)
+ OR
+ Willing to travel for training and achieve certification within 90 days of completion of training at Epic in application as assigned.
Preferred:
+ Current Epic certification(s)
