Technology Communications Manager
Job Description:

The Role 

We are looking for a dynamic individual to help create communications strategies, develop content, and execute communication plans for Fidelity Labs, the company’s in-house innovation incubator. In this role, you will work with the Director of Technology Communications to propel Labs and its new ventures forward. 

 

As the Technology Communications Manager, you will:  

Assist in the creation and distribution of Labs content across channels, including websites, social media, memos, newsletters, and executive presentations 

Help plan and execute events hosted by Fidelity Labs, and coordinate Labs’ presence at externally hosted events 

Support team administratively, leading efforts to make processes across Labs more efficient 

Produce executive reporting and run point on initiatives such as our Co-Op program. 

Aid efforts to make Labs an awesome place to work, including employee onboarding and team-building initiatives 

 

The Expertise and Skills You Bring 

Undergraduate degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Marketing, or related field strongly desired 

5-7 years of communications and/or marketing experience 

Excellent written and oral skills, attention to detail, editing and proofreading 

Organic social media, website, and e-mail communications experience 

Event marketing and brand awareness executions 

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 

Graphic design and video experience a plus 

Resourceful project manager with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities at once 

Collaborative communicator who can help craft and distribute internal and external messages across various platforms, and connect Labs’ startups with broader Fidelity partners and resources 

Experience developing communications for financial services, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), or other regulated industries desired 

High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Powerpoint and SharePoint

You will report to the Director of Technology Communications as part of the Innovation and Change Communications team within Fidelity’s Corporate Affairs organization. Salary Grade: 

 

Fidelity’s working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs.  

 

At Fidelity, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we call “Dynamic Working”. Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity work location for at least two weeks, all business days. These requirements are subject to change. 

The base salary range for this position is $63,000-$100,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
