Responsibilities:

Broad range of Mainframe expertise including solid analytical skills in combinations with strong application development. Code and Test Cobol/DB2 programs. Developing our libraries for modernized environments Setting up testing to ensure that modernized programs function correctly. Analyzing problems found during testing and applying code corrections and improvements. Coordinating solutions with the team while identifying and implementing process improvements to boost productivity. Providing consultation and teachable moments to more junior members of the team

Required Qualifications

3+ years of coding experience in Mainframe Application Development Strong experience with legacy languages or databases - Mainframe, COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, IDEAL, Datacom

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in software testing, debugging, troubleshooting Problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills Good to have experience with - Object-oriented programming in Java, C#, or similar languages Eclipse or Visual Studio Spring or .NET Relational Databases (SQL/MYSQL/ORACLE) Ability to mentor junior colleagues on the team Undergraduate/Post Graduate degree, coding boot camp certification, or equivalent experience
