Your background
This job is responsible for planning and coordinating the execution of project/ program deliverables which requires the engagement of multiple teams. Key responsibilities include communicating work objectives, coordinating delivery, facilitating sync points across teams, providing end-to-end visibility into the health of the deliverables, and managing project/program risk and compliance to standards. Job expectations include ensuring delivery meets the client’s expectations in terms of the functionality, quality, timeline, and cost.
Essential requirements
The individual taking on this role will be expected to be a hands-on project manager supporting multiple workstreams across various programs but not limited to External Mandate and International Strategy.
This is a multi-disciplinary role that will require the successful candidate to take on numerous diverse responsibilities and will necessitate close partnership with senior business and technology managers. A key aspect of the role will be to manage complex regulatory-driven technology projects across multiple technology, operations, and business units.
The position is aimed at someone who is seasoned in project management and a self-starter, capable of working independently and coordinate efforts across multiple technology teams and across multiple projects.
The individual will be responsible managing multiple projects across multiple related technology teams. The individual must be structured and disciplined in their project management approach, including adhering to all organizational requirements related to governance, project tracking, ECM ((Enterprise Change Management) process, risk management, etc. Typically requires 7 to 12 years of applicable experience.
Responsibilities:
Overall technical lead having end-to-end responsibility of all technical aspect of a project, including effort estimate and budget management, application design, bank technology standard governance, IT security management, SIT and UAT coordination, pre-production implementation and post-production application support handover.Work with Line of Business to elicit, define and prioritize project requirements.Work with Solution Architects to ensure solutions support bank technology strategy and standard.Work with applied architects / vendors / in-house developers to translate solutions into system implementation.Establish SOW with vendor, monitor vendor progress throughout the project life cycle as part of vendor management responsibility. Communicate project status, resource constrains and open issues to Portfolio/Program Manager on a timely manner. Address technical queries and issues arising from users, vendors, and developers.Share business knowledge throughout the team on a regular basisEnsured that development activities satisfy applicable local regulatory requirements.Regulatory/Clearing House engagements.Mandate for the candidate to be native bi-lingual (both Japanese and English and read-write) technical strong in solution design, project management, test management and vendor management, implemented banking projects throughout full Software Delivery Life Cycle.What you can expect
This role will serve as a crucial bridge between business needs and technical execution. This requires an experienced and highly skilled professional to play an active role within Global Banking Technology to manage end-to-end systems development initiatives from planning to implementation. This role will be working with the business partners in Japan/Singapore and other technology teams in Japan, India, Singapore, the US and UK. As a senior technology delivery leader, s/he will lead the project team to define, manage and lead consistently while partnering with stakeholder/business partners.
What you will do
In addition, this role will provide as a backup for other Delivery Leads in the following area, when necessary:
Manage projects following the Bank’s ECMS (Enterprise Change Management System) Process and ensure proper project documentation is in place and in good standard.Work closely with Global Transaction Service, Products, Operations and Systems Developments in justifying projects to proceed, and ensure projects should be implemented with good user acceptance level.Facilitate in project meetings and different work sessions to ensure different support teams are clear about the responsibilities and roles to play.Monitor and provide updates to senior management upon the project proceedings, alert and escalate to appropriate level of management when issues or risks are identified which can jeopardize the projects.Work closely with other project managers, to share knowledge on project proceeds, and actively react to issues that may have negative impact to any projects.Help the manager to plan for resources allocation and provide cross project support to the team.Help and govern initiatives establishment, during the idea generation stage, to ensure the objectives against risk and benefits are well balanced.Ensure projects are managed within planned budget and schedule, upon the need for deviations, raise alert to steering committee to compromise on the actions be taken.
