POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Technology Development Specialist will support all aspects of the Saudi Tech Center including, technology development, business development and customer support.  Responsibilities will include:

To use technology experience and engineering knowledge for the KBR technologies which includes Ammonia, Olefins, Specialty Chemicals.Drafting technology papers, technology information packages for clients, responding to client questions regarding technology, project execution and deliverablesLeading technology sessions, presenting papers, building customer and partner relationships, and developing new/existing sales leadsDevelopment and maintenance of relationships with key client decision makers and executivesTechnology support of sales leads by participating in meeting and liaison between technology and sales teamsSupport of regional marketing events as a spokesperson for the business lineCoordination of cross-functional teamsTo maintain awareness and evaluate the state of the Saudi and GCC market, advising on business line strategy and technology developmentTo provide support to the evaluation and execution of alliances and acquisitions of relevant technologiesUnder broad direction, to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate other duties as assigned

 REQUIREMENTS:

BSc or MSc in Process, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Physics or equivalentMinimum of 6+ years CURRENT experience process technologyIs capable of understanding technology differences and can argumentatively convince others about pros and cons of various technologiesUnderstands challenges related to new technology implementation, including financial, environmental, legal, social and technical aspectsAble to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural environmentsMust have the ability to clearly convey technical concepts and principles in both verbal and written communications to clients, peers and KBR management Master in Process, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or PhysicsMBA would be a plusExperience in renewable energy, in particular its generation and storage in a chemical form to cope with its intermittency natureExperience with business development is strongly desiredOperational experience in an ammonia or similar (e.g. methanol, nitric acid, etc.) plant or EPC experience would be a plus

 SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be willing and available for 25-50% domestic and international travel
