NA Oilseeds Refinery Technology Engineer
This is an exempt-level position
Job Summary:
The NA Oilseeds Refinery Technology Engineer is part of the Oilseeds Technology Center along with several Subject Matter Experts who support the oilseeds operations in the refining, bleaching, hydrogenation, interesterification, and deodorizing processes and reports to the Director of Refinery Operations—NA Oilseeds.
Job Responsibilities:Support the regional refinery and biodiesel technical areas.Collaborate with operations, other technical centers and R&D teams to drive optimum production and yields while minimizing unnecessary costs and losses.Assist with the development and execution of the initiative pipeline.Provide technical and operations support in aligning technologies for NA refineries.Support ADM’s Best in Class performance goals for Oilseeds Operations through the optimization of current processes and technologies and the introduction of new processes and technologies.Travel requirements—commitment to travel 25%Education/QualificationsAccredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering (preferably Chemical/Industrial/Mechanical) or appropriate Agribusiness-related specialization is required.Practical, hands-on experience working with oilseed refining processes is required.5 + years of progressive experience in a variety of roles in operations and technical leadershipA consistent track record of driving continuous improvement and change managementStrong and practical refining process knowledge (hands-on production experience)Prior project management experience involving complex technical work and aligning multiple stakeholders across various business segments.Strong attitude to keep people safe through driving excellence in process and personnel safety in daily operations, maintenance, and projects.Personal CharacteristicsProven technical track record leading standardization and innovationTechnically adept and comfortable communicating and leading cross-functionally across all levels of the organization.Intellectually curious, energetic with a positive attitude and credible executive presenceTeam player, with an open, honest, and direct approach.Results-oriented, process owner, accountable for making decisions.Must have a “roll up your sleeves” work ethic.Maintain the highest ethical standards in every aspect.Highly organized, with excellent project management skills.Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as the ability to make effective presentationsExcited about this role but don’t meet every requirement listed?
