As a Technology Execution Director within PNC’s Line of Business CIO Group, you will be based in one of PNC’s technology hubs. Pittsburgh, PA is the first preference, however, we will also consider Cleveland/Strongsville, OH, Dallas, TX, Birmingham, AL or Phoenix, AZ. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.
This role is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the implementation and delivery of technical initiatives within PNC’s business technology organization, ensuring that strategic technology plans are effectively executed, aligning with business goals by managing teams, budgets, and project timelines to deliver targeted strategic and financial outcomes.
To be successful in driving complex and cross-functional technology initiatives, you will need to leverage your domain expertise, building a holistic execution strategy and harness human leadership qualities to delivery strategic business outcomes that have wide-reaching impact.
Key initiatives and preferred qualifications for this role:
• Strategic Planning: Defining initiative scope, goals, and milestones, developing detailed project plans and identifying critical dependencies across different teams.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Using a consultative approach, leading and facilitating communication between engineering teams, product management, design, quality assurance, ad other stakeholders to ensure alignment on program objectives.
• Risk Management: Identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies to proactively address issues that could impact project timelines and deliverables.
• Resource Management: Allocating and managing project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, and technology.
• Process Tracking: Monitoring project progress against key metrics, identifying bottlenecks, and taking corrective actions to maintain project momentum.
• Reporting and Communication: Regularly communicate program status updates to senior leadership and stakeholders through clear and concise reports and presentations.
• Technical Expertise: Possessing an understanding of relevant technologies and development methodologies to make informed decisions regarding technical feasibility and trade-offs.
