What we are looking for:
We are seeking a hands on and process driven Technology Manager with extensive experience in the restaurant industry to lead the company's Technology operations for Pei Wei, Pei Wei Express, Pick Up Stix, and Leeann Chin brands. This role requires expertise in NCR Aloha POS systems, and network infrastructure, PCI compliance, asset version control and updates, helpdesk management, and new restaurant openings. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of technology systems, driving Technology strategy outcomes, and team mentorship. This role involves allocating approximately 70% of the time to hands-on technical tasks and 30% to overseeing and managing technical operationsWhat you will do:
POS & Platform Management:
* Oversee and perform implementations, updates, and maintenance of NCR Aloha ecosystem POS, NBO, Pulse, Payments, AOO, ATO across all restaurant locations.
* Restaurant Ecommerce 1st & 3rd party platforms, loyalty, messaging, inventory integrations, log & event management
Network Infrastructure:
* Design, implement, and manage robust and secure network solutions to support business operations, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
PCI Compliance & Security:
* Lead initiatives to maintain compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards and security best practices, ensuring secure processing, safeguarding of customer and company data.
Asset Management:
* Develop and maintain processes for version control, updates, and lifecycle management of Technology assets.
Service Desk (Help) Management:
* Supervise and enhance the performance of the Technical Service Desk team to meet SLO (Service Level Objectives) metrics and provide exceptional support to restaurant locations and corporate users.
* Serve as the owner of all the entire service lifecycle, manage timely communication, and case close out tasks.
* Implement a hyper care program for new locations and system wide updates.
New Restaurant Openings:
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage technology setup for new restaurant launches, ensuring timely and efficient deployment of Technology solutions.
Performance Management:
* Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and assist with development of formal professional growth plans for Technology team members.
Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration:
* Manage relationships with external vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives, invoice approval workflow participant.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 7+ years of Technology experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
* Proven expertise with NCR Aloha POS systems.
* Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
* Experience with PCI compliance and related security standards.
* Demonstrated ability to manage asset version control and perform timely updates.
* Hands-on experience with service desk (help) management, SLO adherence, and ticketing systems.
* Track record of successful new restaurant openings and rollout of Technology solutions.
* Excellent leadership skills with experience in performance management and team development.
* Strong project management and organizational abilities.
* Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
