Technology Manager - Decarbonization (Kansas City)

**Description**
The Technology Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the technological advancement of decarbonization technologies in the Power global practice. The Technology Manager will be responsible for the management performance, deployment, and updating of engineering tools, software tools, document control software, and all other software and technology that may be utilized on the team. The Technology Manager will lead the department in a dynamic and profitable manner based on Burns & McDonnell's core values of client satisfaction, commitment, dedication, integrity, safety, and overall outstanding service.
+ Responsible for day-to-day operations of the department and sets the overall direction of the department.
+ Manage development and execution of overall technology business initiatives to achieve goals and objectives.
+ Manage, coordinate, log, maintain/update the Global Practice suite of software tools.
+ Provide technology and software direction and support the businesses and markets within the Global Practice.
+ Support sales proposals/efforts when clients request details on our technology capabilities.
+ Interface with client counterparts for software and technology coordination.
+ Participate in key conferences and initiatives with our key technology providers.
+ Develop relationships with key technology vendors.
+ Direct oversight and management of software and technology budgets, costs, and expenditures.
+ Own, coordinate, manage, track, and continually improve engineering tools and processes developed in the departments including programming and database queries.
+ Develop and maintain technology strategies for global practice and/or regional office.
+ Maintain in-depth knowledge of technologies used to support assigned applications and systems.
+ Maintain and troubleshoot software, systems, tools, and technologies.
+ Recruits, develops, trains, and retains outstanding employee-owners.
+ Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for selected departments or direct reports.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department.
+ Responsible for interpreting policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to employee-owners.
+ Ensures compliance with company and site safety policies.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to the division Quality procedures.
+ Demonstrate a commitment to Diversity/Equity/Inclusion.
+ Responsible for the recruitment, development, training, and retention of staff.
+ Responsible for conducting performance evaluations for department staff.
+ Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the department.

+ Responsible for overall QA/QC process adherence.
+ Enforce compliance with company and site safety policies.
+ Responsible for diversity initiatives.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction or related degree from an accredited program and 7 years related professional experience in design and/or project management.
+ 11 years applicable experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
+ Experience implementing software tools.
+ Expert experience in client and business development.
+ Expert experience in managing projects, which includes proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, design team coordination & communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.
+ Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
+ Demonstrated success as to budget, savings and/or profit margins in completed projects.
+ Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.
+ Excellent planning and analytical skills.
+ Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
