Role Overview

The VP, Technology & Operations, Discretionary SMA Services will be responsible for developing the systems, processes and infrastructure to support the operations of discretionary separately managed account (SMA) services that will be brought to market alongside Charles River Development wealth platform in 2025.  This role will work   This individually will be the primary business user representative for all required systems and process development, and will work closely with the MD, Director of Wealth Advisory Services and MD, Wealth Hub & SMA Services as well as implementation resources from Charles River Development and portfolio managers within State Street Global Advisors.

Key Responsibilities


The VP, Technology & Operations, Discretionary SMA Services will be responsible for:

Complex project planning and management spanning the State Street organization and external parties required to support service delivery.Assessment and recommendation of internal and external technologies as part of overall service delivery ecosystem.Technical system requirements development, workflow design/development to support managed account operations including integration with custodians and trading venues, accounting reconciliation process, wealth manager/sponsor communications and account activity workflow development.Operationalizing the service delivery model including system/process testing, staffing model development and implementation, and the transition from development to daily operations.Support corporate processes such as new business and product review, onboarding of new vendors, architecture review, risk and control assessment, regulator audits, etc.Document and implement operational policy and procedures in as part of State Street corporate risk and control frameworksDriving business cases and deploying investments to expand the platform and achieve target business benefits and foster business growth

Qualifications

10+ years of directly experience in wealth management and managed accountsStrong background in an asset servicing business, ideally with wealth management / managed accounts experience, or experience within a wealth or asset management firm providing managed account solutionsProven track record defining business requirements related to system integration, workflow design, and overall business process definitionStrong interpersonal and communications skills, able to interact at all levels of the organization.  Able to collaborate with others in a matrixed organizationCharles River IMS, SQL, MS SQL Server software experience is preferred.Proven wealth investment operations depth with subject matter expertise in one or more of the following core areas: transaction management, reconciliations, corporate actions, security master maintenance, market data, performance measurement and attributionUndergraduate degree minimum

Salary Range:

$130,000 - $212,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
