TECHNOLOGY REPAIR TECHNICIAN, Full-time position, 12 months/yr.
Provide internal BOCES and district support for hardware, software, and repair support for computer and AV technologies. Service is provided as a pooled shared resource. TYPICAL DUTIES + TROUBLESHOOT, DIAGNOSE, and RESOLVE technical problems. + INSTALL new equipment and utility and applications software upgrades. + CONDUCT routine systems support (e.g. new users; backups; hard drive management) activities. + CONDUCT routine preventive maintenance on equipment. + CONDUCT module and component level hardware repairs. + PROVIDE training to school staff in basic operations. + MAINTAIN support and service records. + PERFORM related tasks as assigned. Job Qualifications Educational: Two or more years post secondary technical education. Experience: Microcomputer operations (software Windows, MAC OSX, Google Chrome), Repair (hardware).
