Technology Support III - Quality Engineer - Payments Technology

As a Technology Support III team member in Payments Technology, you will ensure the operational stability, availability, and performance of our production application flows. Encourage a culture of continuous improvement as you troubleshoot, maintain, identify, escalate, and resolve production service interruptions for all internally and externally developed systems, leading to a seamless user experience. You will be a part of an agile team that works to enhance, design, and deliver the software components of the firm’s state-of-the-art technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You will be working on creating the functional test automation suite which helps in finding bottlenecks in the application. 

Job responsibilities

Provides end-to-end application or infrastructure service delivery to enable successful business operations of the firm Supports the day-to-day maintenance of the firm’s systems to ensure operational stability and availability Assist in the monitoring of production environments for anomalies and address issues utilizing standard observability tools Identify issues for escalation and communication, and provide solutions to the business and technology stakeholders Analyze complex situations and trends to anticipate and solve incident, problem, and change management in support of full stack technology systems, applications, or infrastructure Design, develop and maintain automated test scripts for web and API applications. Collaborate with cross functional and business teams to understand application requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation script, framework and process. Carry out Functional testing for newly added features/functionalities. Collaborate with Developers, BA and Product team to identify and address bugs and inconsistencies in software. Actively participate and contribute in agile ceremonies​.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise troubleshooting, resolving, and maintaining information technology services Demonstrated knowledge of applications or infrastructure in a large-scale technology environment both on premises and public cloud Experience in observability and monitoring tools and techniques Exposure to processes in scope of the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework Strong Functional and Automation testing skills in both UI and API based applications. Experience in Test Automation using Groovy or Java, Selenium, BDD Cucumber and Database knowledge. Expertise in designing and building BDD/Cucumber Test Automation Framework. Integrate Automation suite with CI/CD pipeline and maintenance. Exposure to tools like IntelliJ/Eclipse, Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, BitBucket/Git. Experience in Agile methodology with test planning, test case creation, execution and defect tracking. Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skill to work effectively in multi-team environment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Experience with financial services systems, particularly Payments Technology Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages and/or automation scripting Good knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices – public cloud
