MV Transportation is seeking a Mobile Technology Maintenance Technician to installation and maintenance of vehicle technology equipment. This includes installation and maintenance of various electronic equipment to include, but not limited to, Mobileye, Drive Cam, ZONAR, Smart Drive and other equipment as required in various size transit buses and sedans. This requires supervision of all maintenance staff performing installation and maintenance of equipment during their assigned shift. Is responsible to ensure that installation is per all equipment and bus mfg. recommendations. Requires accurate records are kept for all equipment being installed as well as tracking technician work orders and hours appropriately. The Mobile Technology Supervisor will work under the direction of Maintenance Manager.  Qualified candidates must have extensive knowledge of vehicle electrical systems for light/medium-duty vehicles. 

 

Job Responsibilities: 

Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate scheduling and installation of equipment at divisions. Requires good communication skills, interaction with equipment, bus mfg. and clients. Reviews work orders for accuracy, ensures installation schedules are met with prioritization, safety, quality and efficiency foremost. Estimates productivity times and establishes or adjusts shift employees’ production schedules.  Ensure accurate and timely completion of job assignments and cleanup activities with follow-up inspection. Clearly communicates staff expectation in an effective and consistent manner. Be familiar with all phases of installation, service and repair of vehicle technology equipment.  Analyze and resolution of work-related problems and diagnosis of malfunctions with machinery and equipment during shift. Generate, as requested, input and track work orders in the Fleet Focus Maintenance Management System. Updates the daily, weekly and monthly reports. Assist in the development, monitoring, communicating, interpreting and enforcing compliance of administrative and department policies, operating procedures, uniform, safety compliance, regulatory standards, clean-up procedures and quality control processes to ensure efficient daily operations and workflow. Responsible for retrieving, issuing and logging parts and supplies required for use in shift. 

Talent Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent. Five (5) to ten (10) years of experience or training in repair and preventive maintenance of automotive vehicles and electrical systems. . ASE certified to meet job classification. If not certified, must be willing to get certified. . Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets and MS Outlook. Must maintain a valid Class B commercial driver’s license with appropriate endorsements. Training available to acquire. 

Starting pay range: $38 - $41.50/hour
