Family Description

Project Management (PM) comprises project management for execution of cross-functional / geographical projects and programmes from initiation to completion. Covers determination of project / programme goals and support of business objectives and strategies. Ensures projects / programmes achieve their targets, keep their schedule, and maintain estimated cost, time, and quality within planned scope. Covers management of risks that affect the delivery of project outcomes.

Subfamily Description

Internal Project Management (IPM) monitors and ensures projects for internal customers are delivered within agreed scope and are completed within budget, schedule, and quality standards. Covers implementation of process improvements to reduce development time and the assistance in the integration of complex business factors to develop and implement long-term strategic planning objectives.

Accountable for quality and accuracy of own output. Responsible for contribution to teamwork. Errors may have impact on function/project/customer. Usually delivers results with a short-term, operational focus and limited impact on others. 

Scope & Contribution

Individual Contributor: Participates as individual contributor to team, usually with limited professional expertise. Makes decisions affecting own work within set parameters, elevates others. Reviews priorities with supervisor. High personal or low collegial interaction. Managerial/Supervisory: May act as Team Leader or Project Leader with some indirect supervisory responsibilities in addition to own work assignments. Makes decisions that affect own work.

Knowledge & Experience

The Candidate holds a Bachelor of Telecom Engineering. Telecom industry-related experience is required. Candidate must have 1-3 years of experience supporting Project or be responsible or small projects; having customer facing interactions. The candidate must learn Nokia’s PM Practitioner methodology and the North America Market MoO that enables her/his to successfully achieve Customer Satisfaction and the implementation of Orders and maintenance contracts within successful criteria. Candidate must learn Nokia Tools required (or show proven knowledge otherwise) in daily activities like (but not limited to) SAP (QTC, BPP, BWP, P20), HW and Services Forecasting Tools, Sales Force CRM, SRM, NDP, JPC, ngERM, Project Cube, Alliance, ASLM, PO log, Epic, WtD, Case Handling). The candidate will be enrolled in Nokia product training to be able to carry out and manage customer projects as E2E Project Manager responsible for the deployment of Optical Transport Networks based on technologies like WDM and photonics. Also, for the implementation of IP Networking in complex customer contracts. As well as for the implementation of Fixed Access and Fixed Wireless Access Networks; all of them for medium/large networks and medium/high risk probability. Accomplish NSA Authorization for US Government Information. Follow all Nokia Information Security policies and guidelines, including ISMS (ISO 27001 program).
 



• Supports project implementation and analytics. 

• Interfaces with project teams in functional or local area. 

• Responsible for project operational tasks (operational and financial reporting, document management and administrative tasks in relation to daily activities).

• Supports monitoring and providing required information related to the progress of delivery against contractual measures and engagement.

• Creates project reports using predefined standard and customized templates and / or macros.

• Ensures that all documentation and information required for the project has been set up, maintained and are available to the project team and the customer. 

• Contributes to project risk management.
