Summary You will serve as a TELECOMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST of HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 8.64% will be added to the stated salary. Responsibilities You will develop diagnostic tests and procedures to assist in the identification of the cause and location of malfunctions involving a wide range of communications and cryptographic equipment. You will develop and review engineering and installation plans for upgrades and augmentation of existing telecommunications systems for voice, data, radio, satellite, and network equipment. You will revise engineering drawing packages and schematics that illustrate system block diagrams, floor plans, elevation diagrams, cabling and circuit block diagrams. You will evaluate, design, and produce unique telecommunications and information system interfaces in support of the HQs C4 systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector utilizing a mastery of policy, procedure, standards and techniques used in the installation and maintenance of highly complex telecommunications systems. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Develop diagnostic tests and procedures to assist in the identification of the cause and location of malfunctions involving a wide range of communications and cryptographic equipment; 2) Develop and review engineering and installation plans for upgrades and augmentation of existing telecommunications systems for voice, data, radio, satellite, and network equipment; 3) Revise engineering drawing packages and schematics that illustrate system block diagrams, floor plans, elevation diagrams, cabling and circuit block diagrams; and 4) Evaluate, design, and produce unique telecommunications and information system interfaces in support of the HQs C4 systems.
