Rite-Solutions, Inc is seeking a Telecommunications Engineer to support full time on-site at NUWCDIVNPT in Newport, RI.\n
Duties and Responsibilities:\n\nFamiliarity with General Services Administration's (GSA) Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions (EIS) for acquiring telecommunications and information technology products and services\nFamiliarity with DISA's Defense Information Technology Contracting Organization (DITCO) procurement policies.\nExpertise carrier class telecommunication engineering practices and standards in system designs and operation.\nFamiliarity with cloud-based communications systems with enterprise grade voice, IM\/messaging, meetings, conferencing and collaboration\nSupport voice engineering initiatives for all project-related and ongoing operations support for voice communications services\nSupport infrastructure that is relied upon on a 24x7 basis\nActively monitor and conduct trend analysis for telecommunication networks to proactively identify performance issues ensuring highest availability of critical network.\nConducts engineering studies; prepares technical reports; compiles data evaluating and justifying requests for equipment and services. Produce and maintain relevant documentation and drawings for all telecommunication systems and projects.\nEvaluates telecommunications systems and requirements and recommends modifications and\/or new equipment; analyzes technical problems and recommends appropriate corrective measures.\nConducts technical field surveys to develop detailed system design criteria; prepares equipment specifications and evaluates equipment to determine compliance with DISA specifications.\n\n
Position Requirements:\n\nCommunicate effectively orally and in writing on technical subjects to technical and non-technical people (all levels)\nMinimum 5 years' experience \nAbility to prioritize and multi-task\nProficient with installation and management of Avaya Aura Communication Manager 8 or higher\nHave design experience with Avaya Unified Communication products\nInstallation, configuration, upgrade, and troubleshooting of Avaya G450 Gateways\nExperience with VMWare, Microsoft Windows Server, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux\nProficient with Microsoft Office products such as Visio for documentation and drawings\nCertifications: Avaya Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA) and\/or Avaya Certified Solution Specialist Avaya Certified Solutions Architect (ACSA), CompTIA Security+\nExperience with Cybersecurity configurations and security implementation tools\nPosition requires U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance with the US government\nAbility to obtain a US passport, active passport preferred\nTravel Requirements: Some travel may be required within United States and Internationally. (Roughly 5%)\n\n
Additional Skills of interest (not required):\n\nActive secret security clearance\nMilitary or government experience preferred but not necessary\n\n
