Responsibilities You will maintain, repair, test, modify, install, and relocate telephone, teletype and radio remote circuits and associated equipment. You will plan and lay out complex installations, including the cable run diagrams, prints, and key system work sheets to allow completion of assigned tasks, from the inception stage to completion. You will install new equipment by using specifications, drawings, and guidelines set forth by various manufacturers. You will perform visual examination and electrical testing to identify and correct malfunctions Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most trade and labor occupations, you must show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Working under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
