Astraeus Operations is seeking an experienced **Telecommunications Specialist** to provide installation, maintenance, and operational support for critical communications systems at the Remote Strategic Operations Center (RSOC) in Purcellville, VA. This position supports continuity of operations and requires active TS clearance with SCI eligibility and a CI polygraph. **Responsibilities** + Install, maintain, and repair two-way radios, base stations, microwave, and satellite systems. + Configure and troubleshoot AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-150, AN/PRC-160 radios. + Operate and maintain INMARSAT/BGAN and UHF-SATCOM equipment. + Integrate communications systems, accessories, and network components. + Conduct site surveys and plan new system installations. + Perform functional and operational testing, frequency measurements, and interference resolution. + Inspect and verify operational condition of all radio and tower-mounted equipment. + Maintain and operate COMSEC devices, including Key Management Infrastructure (KMI). + Calibrate, maintain, and repair test instruments to ensure diagnostic accuracy. + Support surge operations and continuity events as mission-essential personnel. + Other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** + Associate’s degree or DoD/civilian telecoms training program (or equivalent). + 10+ years hands-on comms equipment/antenna installation, deployment, maintenance. + 10+ years in telecommunications operations (config, troubleshooting). + Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and CI polygraph. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** + DoD/agency communications planning preferred + Military telecoms operator/maintainer preferred + Joint ops/federal law enforcement experience preferred + TOC operational experience preferred + Ability to lift 70 lbs. + Independent problem-solving + Ability to develop and deliver technical reports and written responses to customer inquiries + AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-150, AN/PRC-160 radio + BGAN & INMARSAT systems + STE/vIPer, VTC, fiber optics, routers, networks, antennas + Motorola XTS-3000/5000 radios + COMSEC, Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) **How you’ll grow** At Chenega MIOS, our professional development plan focuses on helping our team members at every level of their careers to identify and use their strengths to do their best work every day.
