Telecommunications Technician

Overview The Telecommunications Technician is responsible for installing and maintaining the corporate voice system and related communications equipment on and off campus for renovations, new construction and daily requests for service. This role is accountable for all telephony service and support, relating to all telecommunications technology, to include: VoIP, voicemail systems, ACD, IVR and traditional telecommunications systems, network interface, and vendor specific hardware and software. Interprets service orders, circuit diagrams, and electrical schematics. Tests, locates, and repairs equipment problems associated with trouble calls, and performs routine maintenance. Proactive analyses, troubleshooting and resolution of telecommunications systems, cabling and circuit issues in a timely manner. Interacts with end-users at all levels of management in developing solutions to problems or creating efficiencies pertaining to telecom processes that impact the business. EOE Licensure Network Technology Preferred Education Associate's Degree Information Technology Or Computer Science Or Related Field Preferred - And High School Diploma or Equivalent Required Experience 1 Year Telecommunications - Complex Voice Technology Implementation and Support In Healthcare Required - With Associate's Degree Or 3 Years Telecommunications - Complex Voice Technology Implementation and Support In Healthcare Required - With High School Diploma And Telecommunications - Voice Telephony (TDM and IP) Preferred
