Sentara RMH Medical Center is now hiring a Telemetry Monitor Technician for the Progressive Care Unit. This is a full-time position that will work three 12 hour shifts per week.

Requirements

High School diploma

1 year of EKG experience OR completion of a monitor technician surveillance certificate program within 90 days of hire

Duties/Responsibilities

Observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm. Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias. Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity. Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.
