Senior Level Telephone Technician responsible for the maintenance, administration, and installation of Defense Red Switch Network (DRSN) equipment. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. Responsibilities Major Job Activities: Install DRSN equipment. OM&S long local configuration, enhanced command consoles, voice announcer system, power supplies and UPS. Employ RED and BLACK maintenance tool kits. Employ Information systems Technology programming to support user requirements. Perform software upgrades. Perform installation, placement, and relocation. Perform system checkout, test, and maintenance. Perform OM&S actions IAW SPIN-C, DOD, USAF, Joint Staff and DISA policies and procedures. Material & Equipment Directly Used: Computer, telephone, standard office equipment. Working Environment: Working environment is a climate-controlled facility. Outdoor temperatures may exceed temperatures of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. May require support during periods of non-traditional working hours including nights or weekends. Physical Activities: Must be able to lift / push / pull 40 lbs. Qualifications Education / Certifications: U.S. Citizen Active Secret Tier 3 Security Clearance High School Diploma or GED; AND Attend DSS-21 at Fort Huachuca, AZ; OR IAT-II Level Certification; AND Experience / Skills: 3 years of experience on Raytheon Digital Small Switch DSS-2A; AND Lead-level, supervisory and practical experience in shop practices; installation, repair, troubleshooting or maintenance of telecommunications systems or equipment; solving complex problems, understanding the interrelationships of circuits and ability to exercise independent judgment in performing tasks in support of communications systems or equipment; AND Expert experience in maintaining / troubleshooting DRSN equipment and Raytheon secure digital switches.
