Help members conduct transactions and other banking services using established policies and guidelines.
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly responsible for the department and staff performance. Manages All Teller functions within the My Teller Plus department Serves as a resource to employees for assistance in handling difficult transactions, customer issues and/or other situations Provides training related to job knowledge/activities, systems, equipment, documentation and applicable guidelines, policies and procedures Conduct regular coaching sessions with My Teller Plus team members to review work performance, to provide instruction, guidance and to develop trust and respect Effectively address and document work/behavior/performance issues; consult with Director of Member Experience and/or HR regarding formal disciplinary and/or termination procedures prior to acting. Ensure the members experience is courteous, attentive and efficient at all times, and all member relations included, but not limited to complaints, concerns, problems, etc. are resolved quickly and efficiently. Proficient in completing Teller transactions in a timely and accurate manner, while exhibiting patience, attention to detail, and in accordance with guidelines and procedures. Proficient in all teller duties related to teller transactions including but limited to, processing deposits, withdrawals and loan payments. Schedule office staff, including PTO and all other time off, to ensure adequate staffing for efficient branch operation. Maintain time cards and time sheets for all My Teller Plus staff. Evaluate the job performance of office staff to ensure quality of work and service to members. Maintain and re-order office equipment and supplies inventory. Monitor office activity, including the number of transactions, volume, employee errors, etc. Assist members in solving account problems. Assist in performing various teller transactions Coach and develop staff pertaining to job performance. Exercises prudent care when making decisions to benefit members and protect the credit union from loss. Performs as a leader who interacts with staff and members to ensure fair and unbiased treatment of all. Ensures application of and compliance with established credit union policies and procedures. Resolves difficult member issues and exercise authority to make appropriate exceptions to policy and procedure. Supports the credit union’s vision and philosophy and actively participates in training sessions and special promotions. Seeks out, trains, and mentors’ potential candidates for leadership positions within the credit union. Stays informed of credit union products, services, procedures, new developments, and knowledge of the competition and their products. Understand and is accountable for executing all job functions (and subordinates’ job functions) in a way that is consistent with all requirements of BSA, OFAC and the USA Patriot Act/Customer Identification Act (CIP). Note: Failure to comply with requirements may be subject to strong disciplinary action, up to and including termination by the credit union, as well as civil and criminal penalties. Ensure that the department follows federal laws and regulations set forth by the National Credit Union Administration and other regulatory agencies Other duties as assigned. Educational equivalent to a four-year high school diploma, post-secondary coursework preferred. Three to four years of supervisory experience in a Credit Union or Banking setting required. A Full working knowledge of PC applications (Word, Excel, MS Outlook). Intermediate mathematical skills required (calculations and concepts involving decimals, percentages, fractions, etc.) Well-developed interpersonal skills required for supervising the My Teller Plus staff and projecting a positive and professional image as a representative of the credit union. Occasional evening and weekend schedules required. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. The Manager is expected to work a minimum of 40 hours per week. The MTP team hours have been expanded and some come in as early at 7:00 a.m. and some stay as late at 6:00 p.m. The manager will have to determine their hours to best manage the team and be flexible enough to work when needed. The MTP team works on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and the manager will be required to work a minimum of 1 Saturday per month as well or as needed.
