Posted Job Title Temp Job Profile Title Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt Job Description Summary Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt Job Description Temporary Employee - Non-Exempt The candidate will act as an assistant to both the histology and animal teams in the laboratory and will work on projects analyzing the immune contexture of mouse and human cancer tissues using multiplex imaging and analysis tools as well as projects investigating the impact of biologics and small-molecule inhibitors on the immune reaction to cancer using multiple mouse models. The research assistant will collaborate closely with a senior research associate and the laboratory team on various projects. The candidate will be required to work independently, collaboratively, possessing strong writing, presentation and analytical skills. He/She will be responsible for (1) conducting complex studies independently in multiple mouse models involving injections (i.v, i.p, s.c.), tissue harvesting, blood collection, small animal surgeries (2) monitoring of tumors in cancer models (3) mouse necropsies, (4) flow cytometry, (5) tissue processing and sectioning, (6) assisting in the operation of automated and manual immunostaining procedures, (7) slide scanning and image acquisition, (8) management of image files and image analysis, (9) development of novel image analytical tools and procedures, (10) development of presentations and reports displaying data results, and (11) keeping inventory and ordering supplies as needed. The candidate will also be involved as necessary in the analysis of multidimensional flow cytometry and transcriptome analyses. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic/motivation, meticulous organizational skills, solid computational skills, and strong social/communication skills.
