Template Editor Lead | Patient Access | Days
Overview Under general supervision of the Utilization and Capacity Manager, this position supports patient access through processing of Cadence (EPIC) support tickets regarding template changes and other related activities. The Template Editor will process clinical department requests within appropriate time frames and reviews all requests to ensure that they align with our Patient Access Collaborative benchmarks. The Editor must display an initiative in resolving missing information, non-compliant template requests, via telephone calls and/or meetings with department personnel. The Editor will also review all work to ensure that all requests have been accurately completed and timely. Responsibilities Uses system knowledge and critical thinking skills in modifying existing templates with minor changes i.e. subgroup updates and other changes as requested. Will also contribute knowledge of template design for strategic access initiatives and to ensure organizational access targets are achieved. Reviews each request for conformity with access initiatives, follows up with clinical department personnel (clinic leaders and/or providers} for resolution to obtain missing information needed to process the service request ticket within an appropriate time frame. Will ensure the makeup session details are provided so the bump list can be worked to reappoint those patients impacted by the template changes. Understands implications of template changes (proactively identifies gaps in template and scheduling configurations, visit types, slot durations, session limits, session time changes, etc.) and discusses any concerns with clinic leadership, as appropriate. Collaborates with Access Center team to resolve issues, improve workflows and overall patient access. Will also attend and participate in internal and interdepartmental meetings, as requested, and will communicates new templates changes to requester, Department Administrator, Access Center, etc. All other duties as assigned Qualifications 2 years Medical operations related to patient scheduling, access and/or clinic systems - required High School Diploma or GED - Required Patient Access Ops Certificate - within 6 months of hire Excellent oral and written communication skills; good analytical, logic, and reasoning skills; good organization skills; customer service skills. Ability and willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Ability to create Excel Spreadsheets as well as manipulate data. Excellent computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), ability to learn multiple software programs, functions and activities. Must be able to display critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
