Job Summary:

The role of the Buyer at Windsor is a dynamic one that encompasses a variety of responsibilities ranging from selecting product line and carrying out product development to planning and purchasing for both eCommerce and Brick & Mortar stores across the country. This will require an entrepreneurial mindset where you will work across all departments to create a shared vision to make this happen.  The position requires a passion for fashion, a team player attitude, a desire to learn and a drive to meet company goals. Like any member of the family, the Buyer is expected to represent Windsor and its mission statement with integrity.

Job Responsibilities:

Understands how to analyze sales and can speak to what is driving the business by channel/department/class/sub-class and attribute Partners with planning to oversee OTB targets by department/class Ability to utilize buy breaks as a tool when building assortment breadth and depth Can propose exit strategy for slow moving styles and/or problem classes Generates month end hindsight recaps and is able to present information to cross-functional teams Excellent organization skill and ability to manage calendar and time efficiently  Build and maintain relationships with vendor base.  Negotiate cost and delivery to maintain margin and merchandising targets Share merchandising vision with marketing, social media and studio teams to deliver aligned message to the customer Attend marketing meetings to collaborate on Email and Homepage stories Strong perspective on current trends and ability to translate to cater to the Winsor customer. Continuously shops competitive landscape and is able to identify opportunities

Qualifications and requirements:

Must have 3-5 years of buying experience within the fast fashion market Experience in product development and fitting garments Strong understanding of retail key performance metrics (GM %/$, sell through, WOH, MD, IMU and AUR) Strong Vendor relations and negotiating experience Ability to plan, prepare and execute strategic business plan

Physical/Environmental Demands and Overtime & Availability:

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to walk short distances. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a small amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Adequate movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Team members are required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
