THE JOB:
Bring your craftsmanship to life at Excalibur! As a Temporary Carpenter, you’ll take pride in performing both predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, from restoring broken or damaged furniture to creating custom cabinetry, tables, office spaces, and more. Your work will be essential to maintaining the charm and integrity of our iconic property. Every task will be completed with precision and care, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures. THE STARTING RATE: $32.10 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Fabrication and Installation: Fabricate, assemble, and install both temporary and permanent fixtures, such as partitions, shelving, or furniture, using appropriate power and hand tools.
Blueprints & Measurements: Follow provided instructions, blueprints, or sketches, and take measurements to ensure all installations meet precise specifications and layout requirements.
Tool & Equipment Use: Operate woodworking and construction tools effectively, ensuring efficient and precise completion of tasks within project timelines.
Safety Protocols: Prioritize safety during all tasks, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to site-specific safety guidelines.
Collaboration & Support: Work closely with other team members and departments to support the project's overall success, assisting in related carpentry tasks as needed.
Cleanliness & Site Organization: Keep work areas clean and organized, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both the team and the public.
Progress Updates: Communicate progress or issues to the project manager or supervisor as needed, ensuring clear and timely updates regarding the project’s status.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Age: 21 years of age or older.
Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum of 4 years of hands-on carpentry experience, ideally within a hotel, industrial complex, or similar property environment.
Availability: Must be available to work a flexible full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Carpentry Skills: Proven expertise in using a variety of carpentry tools, both power and hand tools, as well as woodworking machinery, with a strong emphasis on precision, safety, and productivity.
