Our client, a leading healthcare organization, is seeking a Coordinator - Utilization Management Outpatient to join their team. As a Coordinator - Utilization Management Outpatient, you will be part of the Utilization Management Department supporting the healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask, and excellent customer service skills which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Coordinator - Utilization Management Outpatient
**Location:** Rancho Cucamonga, California
**What's the Job?**
+ Monitor the Right Fax Server to ensure timely processing of referrals and compliance with turnaround timeframes.
+ Check referral forms for completeness, obtain missing demographic information, and assist in coding uncoded referrals.
+ Meet accuracy standards for appropriate authorizations of referrals at the Coordinator level.
+ Represent the organization in a friendly and professional manner while responding to calls for the Utilization Management Department.
+ Communicate with providers regarding authorizations, modifications, denials, and other matters pertinent to processing authorization requests.
**What's Needed?**
+ Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a data entry specialist or coordinator.
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ Knowledge of ICD-9/10 and CPT codes is essential.
+ Experience in managed care or a physician office is a must.
+ Skilled in computer applications, including word processing, databases, and spreadsheets.
