Temporary Corporate Paralegal

Hexcel seeks a Temporary Corporate Paralegal to support the Law Department for our Stamford, CT location.

This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenges of supporting a corporate legal department. The ability to interact with staff globally (at all levels and in different functions) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality is crucial to this role. 

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Assist in the preparation and maintenance of corporate governance documents, including board resolutions, bylaws, and minutes of meetings.

Support the organization and coordination of board and committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and distribution of materials.

Maintain corporate records and ensure timely filings with regulatory authorities.

Conduct legal research on corporate governance issues and provide summaries to attorneys.

Assist in the preparation and filing of annual reports, proxy statements, and other required disclosures.

Monitor changes in corporate governance regulations and assist in implementing necessary updates to policies and procedures.

Manage internal systems and record-keeping for best practice on policies and procedures.

Coordinate with internal departments to ensure compliance with corporate governance standards.

Provide administrative support to the legal team, including document management and correspondence.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.

1-2 years of experience in a corporate legal environment, preferably with a focus on corporate governance.

Strong understanding of corporate governance principles and regulatory requirements.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Flexible work attitude; ability to work on time-sensitive work environment.

High level of professionalism and confidentiality.
