**29878BR** **Job Title:** Temporary Engineering Technician **Department:** Wonderful Inst fr Sustnbl Engr **Primary Campus:** University of Kansas Lawrence Campus **Job Description:** 50% Mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation design, construction, and maintaining experimental equipment. + Models testing apparatus using Fusion 360. + Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctioning lab equipment. + Assist engineers in creating products, improving research process methods, and maintaining assembly systems. + Perform research, build prototypes, and inspect products in the direction of lead engineers. + Install, maintain and repair mechanical systems, and electrical systems. + Install electrical equipment such as relays and solenoids for experiments. + Use Microcontroller to build test equipment. 45 % Software programming such as labview software and operation of experimental apparatus. + Program tests using Labview or Python. + Run tests and correct issues within the programs. + Extract data from test programs, manage and filter data utilizing Excel, and send data to engineers for analysis. The Engineering Technician will work for the new NSF Engineering Research Center – Environmentally Applied Refrigerant Technology Hub (EARTH) in the LEEP2 Engineering complex and report to Prof. Mark B.
