Temporary - Lifeguard LW7666
Primary Purpose: Responsible for supervising pool activities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: + Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of pool visitors. + Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger. + Warning swimmers regarding unsafe situations. + Maintaining order in the swimming area. + Responding to emergencies and rescuing swimmers in danger of drowning. + Performing first aid procedures. + Administering CPR and/or artificial respiration, if necessary. + Keeping the pool, or other areas clean and free of debris. + Opening and closing the facility to visitors. + Responsible for keeping current with all Certifications and Training required to comply with the Lifeguard Certification Program. + Adheres to all pool safety standards, including safety procedures for adverse weather conditions. + Maintains a collaborative work environment and works well with others. + Perform other duties as assigned. Required Skills Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent GED is required. Current Lifeguard Training certification and current CPR and First Aid certification are required – must provide proof of certification. Prior experience as a lifeguard is preferred. Must be a strong swimmer. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule on weekends. Excellent customer service skills. Must be able to withstand outdoor elements for long periods of time.
