Temporary Poker Cashier
SUMMARY:
Greet and welcome guests, establish rapport, and provide excellent customer service consistent with the property’s core service standards and brand attributes. Assist in all areas of the poker room and perform table fills.  This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company’s brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity).   
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Redeems and sells chips to patrons.Must be aware of all types of games in process and seating situations.Coordinates Poker Room seating by greeting guests, collecting cell phone numbers to notify players of availability of requested games, recording appropriate information on poker board, and notifying Floor Managers of table changes and seat lock-ups. Making P.A. announcements with important information.Maintains the integrity of card control policy by properly suiting cards, checking for defects, matching cards, replacing cards as needed, and contacting surveillance and the casino cage as directed.Keeps supervisor informed of situations regarding breaking or starting games.Exchanges smaller denomination chips for larger denomination.Sells chips to Poker Runners and Floor Personnel following departmental guidelines.Balances bank at end of shift.Establishes new accounts following Title 31 guidelines.Secures and documents all recordable transactions made with company assets.Assists patrons with general information upon request.Completes MTL logs accurately.Perform other job related duties as assigned.  
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.Must have a professional demeanor and be able to communicate well with the public.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Must have ability to use good judgment in intense situations.Must be proficient in math; addition, subtraction, multiplication, division.Strong cash handling and counting skills.Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends and holidays.Ability to deliver a service level which creates an atmosphere that makes our guests want to return, giving each guest a positive and memorable experience.Ability to develop knowledge of computer systems, both company and vendor provided, to a proficient level.Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality, while being able to project a professional demeanor.Must be able to work in a very fast paced environment while adhering to strict guidelines and controls.Must be detail oriented.Must be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming Registration.  Minimum age requirement is 21. 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma or GED preferred.Three (3) to six (6) months minimum related experience in money handling and cashiering.
