Position Overview The Senior Manager of Multimedia Production is responsible for setting the creative direction for Paylocity’s multimedia efforts. This leader will oversee and drive the success of the Multimedia Production team while working closely with key stakeholders across the enterprise including Marketing, Sales, HR, and Operations. Additionally, they will oversee the development, creation, and execution of internal and external content, including marketing content, training videos, product videos, recruiting videos, social videos, best practice videos, how-to videos, hosted internal communications, and other resources. The successful candidate will lead, inspire, and develop a team of creatives providing direction, feedback, and guidance to ensure work is produced on time and to the highest standards. Primary Responsibilities + Foster, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with business leaders across all levels to support initiatives throughout the organization. + Set creative direction for projects involving team members in ideation and innovation to determine best desired result + Work with C-suite executives in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. + Effectively manage multiple complex creative projects and conflicting priorities simultaneously, working closely with key stakeholders to set project scope, priorities, deadlines, and schedules. + Collaborate regularly with Marketing to ensure alignment with brand strategy, voice, and content accuracy. + Travel, attend and assist with coordination of events at both corporate location in Schaumburg, IL and various offsite events. Travel expectation minimum of 30%. + Develop annual budget proposals, including the procurement of equipment, technology, and talent. + Create and maintain an equipment and technology rotation and maintenance schedule for all multimedia and audio/visual equipment. + Evaluate and select outside vendors and suppliers for outsourcing projects, including key service providers and talent, negotiating fees, terms, and conditions. + Work closely with facilities and stakeholders to support the content and execution of live and pre-recorded streams and events. + Provide leadership, instruction, , and innovative creative content necessary to continually develop the quality and accuracy of materials created by the team. + Regularly check the status of all projects, redirect resources if necessary to meet shifting priorities and deadlines. + Arrange and lead project planning meetings, including intake, storyboarding, and regular milestone checks. + Establish and maintain a production calendar, prioritizing workflow across the production team and managing projects from concept through completion. + Ensure on-time execution and delivery of video productions for internal and external audiences. + Stay current with the latest developments and trends in video production. Education and Experience + 8+ years driving cross-functional teamwork, planning, and executing large scale complex creative projects, managing timelines and deliverables through cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment. + 8+ years of professional experience, preferably demonstrating accomplishments in a learning and SaaS environment + Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Premiere, After Effects required; Photoshop, Illustrator, Audition a plus) + Experience with shooting and editing live video as well as with a green screen and other locations. + Proficient with Microsoft Office 2003-2010 products (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Adobe PDF documents + Strong attention to details, policies and procedures; ability to identify and implement changes that improve outcomes + Capable of making quality complex decisions quickly + Demonstrated ability to build trust with colleagues and customers + Demonstrated ability to work as part of integrated team in a fluid environment. + Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels including C-Suite + Ability to work primarily on site with occasional nights and weekends where needed + Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent work experience strongly preferred + Industrial and training content creation experience strongly preferred Experience with motion graphics and ability to assist in the creation of art that can be repurposed in other formats (e.g. infographics) strongly preferred Paylocity is an equal-opportunity employer. The pay range for this position is $94,700-135,000 annualized; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
