Overview We are seeking a temporary Wedding and Event Manager to join our team for a 2-month period starting in mid-March. This pivotal role will focus on proactively seeking and managing group business within designated market segments and geographic regions. The manager will also actively pursue upselling opportunities to maximize revenue and work toward achieving both individual and team revenue goals. The position ensures proper and timely handover of business to ensure smooth service delivery. A key responsibility will be driving customer and guest loyalty by providing exceptional service throughout the entire experience, and maintaining strong relationships to help grow the accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven history of meeting sales targets, creativity, problem-solving skills, and a strong track record as a team player. We are looking for someone who is eager to learn, lead by example, and consistently responds professionally and courteously to both guests and colleagues. Your Role: Make personal visits, when necessary to target areas and call on Companies and associations located in a specific market or area. Book meetings, conferences, and social guests from assigned areas. Dedicate majority of time to direct telephone sales. Rework and maintain old account files and solicit new accounts. Respond to all correspondence from assigned areas and trace dates for reworking and follow up. Set-up site inspections and follow through. Attend trade shows pertinent to assigned areas and attend meetings, seminars, and functions through membership in association. Maintain a constant contact with Corporate and Association meeting planners; maintain membership and contacts in hotel industry associations. Maintain a working relationship with departments interacting with convention groups. Develop new accounts Stay abreast of industry trends and make recommendations of changes, which would affect operations. Maintain accurate forecast and recap information. Set-up and conduct site inspections for entire property. Meet sales goals as outlined by the Director of Sales and Marketing Compensation: $30-$35 /hour depending on experience Perks All employees receive free daily hot meals, Free access to the fitness center, showers, locker, pool, and hot tub; Free golf, and Zip-Line. Schedule: This is a 24-7, 365 day a year business that will require some work during nights, weekends and holidays LOCATION: Stevenson, WA 22 miles from White Salmon, WA 23 miles from Hood River, OR 28 miles from Washougal, WA 30 miles from Troutdale, OR 30 miles from Camus, WA 50 minutes from Vancouver, WA 50 minutes from Portland, OR Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. 5+ years’ experience as a Sales Manager in a hotel/resort environment SalesForce (Delphi) experience preferred Able to demonstrate and maintain consistent and efficient performance. Able to accomplish projects in a timely manner. Compensation Range The compensation for this position is $30.00/Hr. - $35.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
