We’re looking for a passionate and committed Tenancy Support Co-ordinator with a particular interest in working with people who are at risk of becoming homeless and require support to maintain or start new tenancies.

 

Where: Tunbridge Wells 

Full Time Hours: 37.5 per week 

Full Time Salary Range: £27,449.53 - £31,529.41 (pro rata for part time hours)

Contract: 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities

About the role: 

 

Establish effective communication and referral pathways for those individuals who are at risk of homelessness and in contact with other health and care agenciesProvide wrap around support in emergency/temporary/supported accommodationsPrioritise caseload depending on crisis intervention and severity of needsAttend relevant multi-disciplinary team meetings supporting links to health and social care services, peer support networks, community assets and mutual aidWork closely with the local authority, Health & Social care sector, partners and any provision linked to preventing Homelessness and improve joint workingIncrease and enhance partnership working with primary care, mental health services, housing and other voluntary organisations who are supporting individuals at risk of losing tenanciesProvide wrap around support on budgeting, education, training and employment whilst continuing to support their engagement in structured services

 

 

About you: 

 

An understanding and knowledge of the harmful effects associated with drug and Alcohol use in relation to health, social welfare, housing, employment and personal relationships Minimum of 12 months experience facilitating successful tenancy sustainment and working to achieve positive community connectionsKnowledge of benefits and applying for benefits in a supportive roleThe experience of engaging with a wide variety of individuals with a variety of backgrounds and needsThe ability to work with and manage challenging behaviourKnowledge of local services and relevant interventions to support and sustain recovery especially related to training and educationKnowledge of local registered social landlords and tenancy issues that affect our service user group
