Role: Tender Manager - Rail Electrification Systems

As part of our growing business in North America, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Tendering Manager specialising in Rail Electrification Systems to join our team in Raleigh, NC.
About the Role
As a Tendering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping technical solutions, conceptual designs, and comprehensive proposals for rail electrification projects. This includes delivering innovative, cost-effective, and reliable systems such as traction substations, overhead catenary systems (OCS), and power quality solutions. You will lead tendering efforts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers to ensure Linxon continues to deliver excellence in rail infrastructure projects.
What You’ll Do
Lead engineering activities during the proposal, design, and construction phases of rail electrification projects.Drive innovative, cost-saving ideas and value-added solutions for traction substations, OCS, and associated systems.Collaborate with cross-border teams to manage sub-contractor bids, negotiate contracts, and analyze technical responses.Develop technical proposals, including single-line diagrams, layouts, grounding systems, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Review and interpret RFPs/RFQs, clarifying technical ambiguities and mitigating risks.Ensure compliance with industry standards, including EN, IEC, and IEEE regulations.Work with the supply chain team to coordinate supplier offers and negotiate optimal technical and commercial terms.Act as a key point of contact with clients during the tendering phase, ensuring their requirements are met with high-quality solutions.About You
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, experience in power systems, including rail electrification projects.Expertise in traction substations, OCS, HV/MV equipment, and rail infrastructure.Proven track record of working with rail operators, public/private utilities, and international EPCs.Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices in rail electrification.Proactive, self-driven, and comfortable working in dynamic environments with cross-functional and multicultural teamsAbout Linxon
