Additional responsibilities include advising students and actively participating in the department’s efforts to foster a vibrant and collaborative academic community. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should have a Ph.D. in hand or have defended their doctoral dissertation by August 1st, 2025. A history of scholarly achievement with demonstrated excellence in teaching is required, as is near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English. This position is open to scholars of literature, culture, and linguistics. Areas of interest include, but are not limited to: decolonial studies, the African diaspora, indigenous rights, identity, bilingualism, language policy, and sociolinguistics.
