We are currently seeking a T **erritory Manager** , whose role is responsible for Corteva’s **Crop Protection** business in the **Eastern Iowa area** , being part of the Southern Iowa Team. In partnership with the account management, marketing, and integrated field scientist teams, this individual is responsible for driving and expanding sales of Corteva agriculture products. This role will work primarily with retail customers, along with growers, distributors, and seed agents. The role will report to the District Sales Leader for the Iowa Crop Protection Business.
This is a remote position and can be based anywhere within the geography listed above. If hired, you will be required to travel as necessary to support business activities **.**
**What You'll Do:**
+ Develop and demonstrate a deep understanding of Corteva CP products, customers, and key market opportunities within the region.
+ Work cross-functionally with Category Lead, MarCom Manager, Account Managers, Market Development Specialist, and Field Scientist to create and implement action plans to grow sales within the territory.
+ Gain share through positioning, training, and promoting Corteva brands & formulated products with key distribution accounts & end-users.
+ Willingness to develop a strong technical expertise and provide sound, agronomic recommendations, and support to distribution & grower customers.
+ Accountable for providing market intel and product forecasts to leadership.
+ Responsible for building relationships, representing the portfolio, and building awareness with key influencers such as university and extension specialists, industry influencers and local consultants.
+ Must have the ability to work independently and take initiative to deliver on objectives when necessary and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
+ Align sales performance expectations with retail accounts and deliver necessary technical and agronomic information
+ Develop detailed key account plans to meet and exceed territory sales goals
+ Serve as a customer advocate by communicating customer feedback to the leadership team
**What You'll Need:**
+ Minimum of Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in the following areas: Turf Science, Biology, Horticulture, Agronomy, Ag Econ & Business, or related field
+ Experience in sales or in a role providing agronomic recommendations in the Ag industry.
+ Previous CP sales experience and knowledge of the industry is desirable
+ Must be willing to travel within the assigned territory and efficient with extensive ground travel.
+ Ability to pass a driving record background check
+ Must be able to sell, negotiate, influence, resolve conflict, and coach.
+ Preference is for the candidate to reside in the SW IA area.

This reflects a reasonable estimate of the targeted base salary for this role. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus. Based on factors such as geographic location and candidate qualifications, actual base pay is determined when an employment offer is made.
