Territory Manager
**What’s the Job?** ****The ideal candidate will reside in the Seattle, WA area or the Portland, OR area**** In this role, you will be responsible for selling acoustical ceiling and drywall systems to distributors and contractors through focused education, demonstrations, and promotions to appropriate stakeholders. You will execute programs and strategies that differentiate self and the Company through extraordinary support and service that establishes and maintains CertainTeed as the preferred supplier within assigned sales territory. + Promote and sell CertainTeed ceiling and drywall products through approved channels of distribution to include contractors and distributors in the assigned territory. + Operate in a safe and environmentally conscious manner. + Provide Preferred Service and Preferred Quality to our customers. + Optimize effectiveness in the field through continuous use of the CRM program (Super Office). + Evaluate existing and potential volume of all buying factors in assigned territory and concentrates major selling effort on those accounts which represent the highest percentage of the total volume. + Prepare and review an annual business plan with all direct buy and indirect buy customers. Reviews with customers on a quarterly basis. + Develop an Action Plan in support of the assigned sales and profit targets for the assigned territory. + Make product and merchandising presentations to sales outlet personnel including their sales forces utilizing price lists, sales promotion literature, advertising reprints, samples, displays, product knowledge, etc. + Obtain current information from the marketplace regarding competitor’s pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising technique, etc. and transmits significant developments to supervisor. + Investigate customer complaints, preparesreports and make recommendations to supervisor for settlement - **What do you bring?** + Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration majoring in Marketing or the equivalent training that will provide a working knowledge of the regulations, practices and procedures concerned with outside sales activities. + Minimum of HS Diploma required. + One to three years of related experience in the application of this knowledge to sales activities such as customer contracting, sales presentation and the closing of sales. + Experience in the building products industry, understanding the construction cycle from specification to construction. + Effective presentation skills and a drive to be number 1 are preferred. - **_What are our perks?_** We provide unique options to fit your unique lives! We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position, which is $79,500 to $123,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 30% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. The Total Target Cash range (base pay and annual bonus) for this position, is $103,350 to $160,550. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
