This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Territory Manager supporting the regions of Southern Alberta and south eastern Saskatchewan,  Ideally, this person will be based in or around the Calgary area to support the sales region. This remote-based position is a temporary contract position with a contract length of approximately 12-18 months.  


The Western sales team is responsible for selling products and services to a wide range of highly complex or major accounts and customers and execution of sales plans, targets, and budgets within the overall regional and business unit sales strategy. Accountable for increasing sales/client ratio and expanding customer base.

Your responsibilities will include Partner with other stakeholders to develop merchandising and promotional programsEnsure flawless execution of merchandising, advertising, and trade program plans from the buying office down to the retail floorWork directly with senior buyers, owners, and merchandisers of large accountsPresent and coordinate merchandising programs and promotions and provide training for retail sales associatesDevelop account base and growth opportunitiesPrepare and maintain a business and profit plan through the strategic customer management processAchieve sales target for the territory   Develop relationships with existing and potential new trade customers Manage established promotional and merchandising program budgetsTravel (up to 50%) and work occasional evenings/weekends as necessaryMinimum requirements Associate's Degree3+ years of experience in sales, marketing or account managementPreferred skills and experiences Bachelor’s Degree in BusinessProficient in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides or Microsoft Word, Excel andPowerpointStrategic thinkingExperience developing and maintaining strong client relationships Strong presentation skills
