Territory Sales Manager, Inside Sales (AEC)

Position Overview

Managing a team of Territory Sales Representatives (AEC Industry), this role will drive revenue growth by managing key initiatives and sales performance for the inside sales organization.

Responsibilities

Lead the activities of team, including hiring, coaching, developing talent, team culture and performance management in a SaaS, ARR, or MRR revenue environment

Build and refine sales and reporting processes as part of continuous improvement efforts

Chart and deliver timely and accurate forecasting and pipeline management

Collaborate with internal Sales Operations and other stakeholders on reporting and analysis

Collaborate with Marketing & Channel teams to build and execute campaigns

Collaborate with other internal organizations and coordinate internal resources as needed

Direct team with corporate goals and use SMART goals to deliver results

Encourage innovation by exchanging new ideas to improve operation and efficiency within sales and supporting organizations

Ensure CRM tools and Autodesk methodologies are leveraged to process and track opportunities

Identify and make recommendations for improvement in sales productivity.

Possess a deep understanding of Salesforce.com, Excel, and other key customer data and business intelligence tools

Regularly report on team and individual results: pipeline, conversion rates, and quarterly performance

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum of 8+ years Sales experience with documented track record of success

2+ Years sales leadership experience preferred

Sales Management Experience must have included performance management

Previous experience using Salesforce.com and have proficiency with Salesforce.com advanced reporting

Previous project / program management experience- resulting in driving operational efficiencies

Excellent interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communications skills

Transparent style-and a willingness to appropriately explain difficult issues; ability to think quickly

Ability to excel in a fast growing/fast paced environment delivering accuracy while managing deadlines where adaptability is critical

Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects and tasks

Sound business and technical acumen

Previous experience accurately forecasting and reporting on territory /account activity

Ability to work independently- and in a structured, disciplined sales environment

Preferred Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree-4-year College/University degree or equivalent experience preferred

Field of Study: Information Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, Sales/Marketing, or similar

Formal training in consultative sales techniques; Experience with some sales methodology (TAS) and CRM solutions is advantageous

A combination of education and experience may be acceptable

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $158,100 and $228,800. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
