The role
As a Test and Integration Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be key in providing requirements and acceptance engineering expertise across the Skynet programme including supporting and maintaining test facilities, and creation, configuration and maintenance of test rigs and reference systems.

 

Day-to-day, you’ll undertake and advise on test and compliance activities including the generation of test documentation, schedules and reporting for, but not limited to:

 

Ensuring test activities are coherent with other project deliverables and that relevant measures of performance are applied Undertaking rectification and 'snagging' activities to improve test performance where required Working with work package Technical Leads supporting the creation and review of Integrate Test Evaluation and Acceptance (ITEA) documentation, maintaining a focus on quality Providing guidance on the technical risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and opportunities linked to ITEA activities

 

This position involves travel/working across a range of internal and customer sites, as a requirement of the role.

This role is full time, thirty-seven hours per week and is based on site at Oakhanger.

 

Essential experience of the Test and Integration Engineer

Extensive and demonstrable systems engineering experience with specialism in Integration, Verification and Validation (IV&V) and transition to operation Knowledge of UK MOD practices and ways of working Conversant with accreditation standards for bringing into service telecommunications systems including bespoke and commercial off the shelf (COTS) software applications

 

Qualifications for the Test and Integration Engineer

HNC or equivalent in Telecommunications or Electronic Engineering

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Developed Vetting (DV) security clearance for this role.
