Test Automation Engineer LOCATION **: Dundee (Hybrid)** Annual Incentive Base Range 48,000.00 - 60,000.00 - 72,000.00 GBP Annual **Job Description** The XFS Platform team based in Dundee, Scotland require an experienced QA/Test Automation Engineer. The team develops the NCR Atleos XFS Platform, providing interfaces to control all of the systems functions and diagnostics thereof. You will be focused on developing test solutions for a new development project, enabling efficient testing of both functional and non-functional requirements. It is a hybrid role requiring 3 days in the office, although at times there may be a need to work more days for hardware access. **Qualifications required** + Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or equivalent experience + 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, focused on test automation and QA **Responsibilities** + Design and develop testing solutions for an XFS ATM Platform + Plan and Conduct testing of the XFS Platform, subsystems, and components + Apply test methodology, processes, procedures, standards, and tools used by the team + Exhibit a good understanding of Software Development and Quality Assurance best practices + Perform manual functional and regression testing + Create, maintain, and enhance automated test suites + Perform volume, performance and reliability testing + Record, maintain and archive test results + Install and configure test environments including hardware and software components + Design and develop test scripts that facilitate re-use - Postman + Record and track all issues uncovered during testing and follow through to resolution + Apply good debugging and troubleshooting techniques to assist Developers with isolating the problem and determining the solution – review logs, understand the E2E system under test + Review and provide input for technical documentation, user help materials and customer training + Contribute to estimation regarding QA and Test effort + Review work items and define acceptance criteria + Create, maintain, and enhance regression test suite **Required skillset** + Strong background in white box testing and API testing + Experience with functional and non-functional testing + Proficient using automation tools, frameworks and performance test tools + Experience with test scripting, Python, PowerShell + Hands on experience of GitHub + Experience with enterprise tools and CI tools - Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, SonarQube + Experience testing complex products and connected services + Experience in Lean-Agile methods and practices + Experience of Windows 10/11 Operating System setup and configuration + Able to perform root cause analysis on any issues + Ability to collaborate and partner with internal teams + Strong passion for learning and ability to adapt to new technologies + Excellent written and verbal communication skills required + Self-directed and highly motivated team player **Preferred skillset** + Experience of Extensions for Financial Services (XFS) + Experience with testing and tools in a Linux environment As an NCR Atleos employee, we provide you with several core benefits as std, as well as the opportunity to select additional discounted voluntary benefits.
