Visit TextronSystems\.com& Lycoming\.com to read more about who we are and the products we make\! **_About This Role_** We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for: A **Test Conductor** is responsible for demonstrating compliance with Contract and Craft Specification Test Requirements inclusive of supporting Design Engineering and Manufacturing Planning activities to incorporate Testability Planning into the design and manufacturing processes\. **_Responsibilities_** + Review and completely comprehend contract and craft specification test requirements\. + Interface with Design Engineering and Manufacturing Planning to incorporate planning concepts for testability\. + Participate in Peer Reviews and Drawing Reviews\. + Flow down test requirements to subcontractors\. + Develop test methods for high risk components/systems prior to craft acceptance testing to reduce risk\. + Develop test methods for craft acceptance testing and trials\. + Develop and maintain test documentation including; comprehensive test plans, test indexes, test sequence networks, test schedules, test procedures, test change proposals, trials agendas, and test and trials reports in accordance with contract specification and CDRL test requirements\. + Identify and assist in procurement of test equipment to support craft acceptance testing and trials test methods\. + Assigned in the areas of mechanical, electrical or electronic system testing, depending upon qualifications\. + Conducts craft acceptance test and trials and supervises test technicians assigned to the test activities\. + Analyzes test data and results to confirm compliance with specified requirements and generate test reports that detail the performance of the test as required\. + Identifies test and equipment problems and recommends corrective action to prevent recurrence in accordance with departmental policies and procedures\. + Collects data relative to test conduct and prepares test problem reports and test procedure revisions, as required + Interfaces with the Customer inspectors, representatives and craft acceptance team members during craft acceptance testing and trials\. + Fully comprehends craft mechanical, electrical, electronic, auxiliary, and safety components and systems function prior to initial test and operation of the craft\. + Fully comprehends hull and skirt design functions and their functional relationship with craft operation and fully comprehends craft control system, their associated force vectors, and relative movement of the craft\. + Fully comprehends the theory and operating techniques/parameters of the gas turbine propulsion and lift system\. + Demonstrates safe operating procedures/precautions necessary to prevent injury to personnel and damage to the craft and environment\. + During underway operations, supervises the deck mechanics/electricians and other deck hands\. + Maintains the log of craft discrepancies and machinery operating times and ensures completion of pre\- and post\-mission inspections\. + Conducts pre and post mission inspections, fuels and services the craft and ensures all safety equipment is on board and functional\. + Tracks all repair and modification actions on test craft to advise the crew regarding craft configuration\. + Performs other job\-related duties as assigned by management\. **Qualifications** **_Qualifications_** Associate degree in a related preferred\. **Position Requirements:** + One \(1\) or more years of technical training related to tests and trials\. + Two \(2\) or more years of related experience in a shipbuilding environment\. + Demonstrated leadership/supervisory skills\. + Working knowledge of SharePoint is a plus\. + Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Software including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint\. + Excellent communications \(oral and written\) skills\. + Ability to interact effectively and efficiently with management, peers and customers\. + Prior experience with USN LCAC preferred\. **EEO Statement** Textron is committed to providing Equal Opportunity in Employment, to all applicants and employees regardless of, race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, military status, veteran status, handicap, physical or mental disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information or any other characteristic protected by law\. **Job:** Engineering **Primary Location:** US\-Louisiana\-New Orleans **Recruiting Company:** Textron Systems **Schedule:** Full\-time **Job Level:** Individual Contributor **Shift:** First Shift **Travel:** No **Req ID:** 330242
