**Job Summary and Description:**
The Test Engineer will collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and laboratory staff to design, implement, and document testing procedures for electrical, mechanical, or environmental systems. This role requires hands-on involvement in building test setups, executing tests, and analyzing results to ensure reliability and performance.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Work with SMEs to identify applicable industry-standard tests or application-specific unique tests.
+ Develop and document test plans and procedures for review and approval.
+ Implement test plans, including system control and data acquisition.
+ Identify anomalies during test execution and collaborate with SMEs to determine corrective actions or adjustments.
+ Document and report test results clearly and accurately.
**Required Skills & Qualifications:**
+ Ability to collaborate with SMEs and lab staff to develop and execute test plans and setups.
+ Experience (or strong interest) in electrical, mechanical, or environmental testing.
+ Familiarity with system control and data acquisition (experience preferred; willingness to learn required).
+ Competence in data analysis and visualization.
+ Strong documentation skills for test results and procedures.
+ Willingness to support other job functions during peak workload periods.
+ Ability to work as part of a team with SMEs as technical leads.
+ Hands-on approach to building and executing test setups (with lab staff assistance).
+ Ability to travel as required.
+ Highly motivated team player with strong problem-solving skills.
**Location:**
+ This is an in-person role requiring active participation in lab activities.
**Travel Requirements:**
+ Candidates should be prepared for occasional travel and flexible collaboration across team. Up to 4–5 trips per year to Lenox lab (approx. 4 days per trip)
The salary range for this position is $78,000 USD to $84,000 USD annually.
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on various factors, including without limitation applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This role is eligible to participate in EPRI’s annual incentive program. The amount of incentive varies and is subject to the terms and conditions of the plan.
