The Test Engineer (TE) works closely with Creation's Customer Focused Team and is responsible for the commissioning, validation, sustaining and support of customer supplied, and Creation designed test systems. The TE will ensure that exceptional test procedures and test system documentation are available to allow smooth production flow. As the TE, you will use your grounding in Design for Test (DFT) and manufacturing philosophy, to define the test process, methods, improvements, equipment, and tools necessary to result in high production yields. Our customers will see you as an extension to their test engineering team, as you propose DFT recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce cost and improve quality. You will work in collaboration with the production team to troubleshoot, and support root cause analysis of test failures related to supplier quality, SMT or final assembly. The TE will ensure that test related engineering changes are properly implemented. This position directly reports to the Engineering / Test Engineering Leader and supports the Customer Focused Teams.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Work with Customer Test Teams to establish optimum production test strategiesUnderstand and implement DFT philosophyCollaborate with fixture developers and suppliers, and coordinate procurement of test equipmentCommunicate with customers, suppliers, and technical support teams to resolve test issuesTroubleshoot and debug test system hardware and softwareMaintain, upgrade, and repair test systems and fixturesDevelop and revision-control test system documentationCommission and validate test systems for functionality, performance, and test coverageProvide technical guidance, training, and support for production test teamsSupport continuous improvement of manufacturing test systems already in productionParticipate in Quality Assurance meetings and help investigate test-related issuesParticipate in team meetings, providing feedback & reports as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalentMinimum 3 years experience in a manufacturing test environmentSound fundamental knowledge of digital and analog circuitry

SKILLS REQUIRED:

Proficient in the use of test and measurement instrumentation, including analog, digital & RFProficient in the use of standard test equipment such as Oscilloscopes & Function GeneratorsWorking knowledge of In-circuit Test, Boundary Scan and Flying ProbeTroubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDebug of test systems using design of experiments, tools, and failure analysis methodologiesSolid technical documentation abilitiesAble to understand and create electrical schematic diagramsAble to gather technical data, compile information, and provide recommendationsDemonstrate initiative, independent judgment and creativityExcellent communicator in both spoken and written EnglishProficient in Microsoft OfficeAbility to sort, filter, and analyze data in ExcelComfortable in presenting to and meeting customers in personAble to manage and prioritize several projects at onceBasic soldering and wiring skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the anticipated starting pay for new hires for this position is between $70,000-$110,000 USD; a shift differential may also be provided depending on the work hours. Full-time employees are also eligible for performance-based bonuses and benefits.  This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as a final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, education, location, and shift.
