Test Engineer

The Test Engineer (TE) works closely with Creation's Customer Focused Team and is responsible for the commissioning, validation, sustaining and support of customer supplied, and Creation designed test systems. The TE will ensure that exceptional test procedures and test system documentation are available to allow smooth production flow. As the TE, you will use your grounding in Design for Test (DFT) and manufacturing philosophy, to define the test process, methods, improvements, equipment, and tools necessary to result in high production yields. Our customers will see you as an extension to their test engineering team, as you propose DFT recommendations to improve efficiency, reduce cost and improve quality. You will work in collaboration with the production team to troubleshoot, and support root cause analysis of test failures related to supplier quality, SMT or final assembly. The TE will ensure that test related engineering changes are properly implemented. This position directly reports to the Engineering / Test Engineering Leader and supports the Customer Focused Teams.

DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES include, but not limited to:

Work with Customer Test Teams to establish optimum production test strategiesUnderstand and implement DFT philosophyCollaborate with fixture developers and suppliers, and coordinate procurement of test equipmentCommunicate with customers, suppliers, and technical support teams to resolve test issuesTroubleshoot and debug test system hardware and softwareMaintain, upgrade, and repair test systems and fixturesDevelop and revision-control test system documentationCommission and validate test systems for functionality, performance, and test coverageProvide technical guidance, training, and support for production test teamsSupport continuous improvement of manufacturing test systems already in productionParticipate in Quality Assurance meetings and help investigate test-related issuesParticipate in team meetings, providing feedback & reports as required
