Testing & Laboratory Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will provide support for development efforts while ensuring protection of the test environment, including physical facility and staff. Performs various test engineering duties requiring the exercise of judgement and application of standard engineering principles and practices. Pursues initiatives to improve test efficiency and effectiveness of the test group to increase customer satisfaction.The work model for the role is: #LI - OnsiteThis role is contributing to the Motion Drive Products Division in New Berlin, WI area.You will be mainly accountable to:•\tAutomate new and existing test processes to increase test reliability, repeatability, and efficiency.•\tProvide technical testing support to power electronic designers. Coordinate and execute design testing programs for prototype/product verification plans in cooperation with development engineers and project management.•\tMaintain and use test specifications to test products and prototypes. Be able to interpret results to verify that performance matches requirements. Check reasonableness, prepare, and present test reports and maintain records.•\tPerform certification testing to UL, CSA, and IEC standards and create test reports for UL, CSA, SGS and/or other third-party certifying bodies. Qualifications for the role

Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering with 1-year of demonstrated test and automation accomplishments.Knowledge in NI LabVIEW programming, PLC programming, AutoCAD, PSIM, PADS, MS Office, and drive communication protocols such as Modbus, DeviceNet and Profibus.Travel required 10-25%, as needed, to support project test needs. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
