Education Qualification: Bachelor of engineering, telcos, computer science, or a related field No. of Years of Experience: 5 years+ experience Technical Skills Deep knowledge of communication system theory and wireless systems Good understanding of 3GPP/ETSI standards on L1/L2/L3. Experience in LTE / 5G NR PHY layer / RF is a strong plus. Familiarity with one of automotive level 5G Modem platforms, i.e., Qualcomm SA5x5, and MTK MT2735 Good understanding of SOC system architecture and SOC software bring-up, software validation. Experience with scripting languages like Python on at least one of Cellular Signaling Analyzers, i.e., R&S CMW, Anritsu, and Datang. Experience with carrier/ industry conformance radiated performance requirements like 3GPP, PTCRB, CTIA, ETSI, etc. Strong knowledge of GSMA IoT and roaming standards/guidelines is a plus, i.e., SGP.02, SGP.32, TSG.34, IR.88, NG.111, NG.113 Familiar with connected vehicle system architecture and related technologies and standards (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet,). Professional on test methodology and test case design principles Good understanding of NG-eCall is a plus. Good understanding of any RAT protocol layers is a plus. Functional Skills Demonstrated background in modem feature evaluation and root cause analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in leading technical initiatives across functional organization and with external partners. Proficiency with issue tracking tools, i.e., Jira. Proficiency with case management tools, i.e., Testrail. Excellent English communication and documentation skills Behavioral Skills Highly motivated and self-driven Strong interpersonal and communication skills to communicate with global team, support personnel, application development personnel and vendors Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment and ability to work under aggressive timelines and sporadic heavy workloads. Possess sustainability against changing demand from internal & external business requirements. Be accustomed to operating agile and quickly to meet customer product demand. Translating industry conformance/ regulatory/ carrier specification requirements into China specific modem requirements and test cases. Work with cross functional teams in evaluating cutting edge use cases and deriving requirements for the modem across WCDMA, LTE, and 5G-NR. Coordinating with regulatory compliance/ carrier management teams to ensure product validation covers all certification/performance tests. Driven everyday problems solving to continually improve customers’ connectivity experiences under actual wireless carrier’s cellular network. Network test case design and execution, issue tracking
